The United States has one of the greatest leagues in the world, it is known as the NBA or the National Basketball Association. Some professional basketball players you may know or have heard of include Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Lebron James, and Russel Westbrook. There are people who watch how these people play called scouts that will watch how a player plays and if that person seems good enough to be on their team they will recommend them to play for their team. This is how players become big and get on the news that this person is good, watch him/her, he/she is the future of the sport.
